Job summary

Moon Area School District seeks a Head Varsity Swimming and Diving Coach to supervise, coordinate, and promote all phases of the interscholastic program for the Swimming & Diving Team. You will work with the building principal and athletic director to ensure a high standard of coaching, safety, and sportsmanship.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a head swimming & diving coach or extensive assistant coach at the high school or collegiate level.
• Ability to develop sound coaching techniques and knowledge of swimming & diving rules and strategies.
• Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with administration, parents and students.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment of participants and presence at athletic physicals.
• Certification of physical forms prior to first practice and placement of students.
• Coordinate training and competition plans, and maintain equipment accountability.
• Inform media and athletic department of contest results and manage end-of-season duties.
