Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of high school coaching experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable about the rules and fundamental techniques of the sport.
• Ability to obtain CPR / First Aid / Lifeguard certification when applicable.
• Ability to work effectively with coaches, parents, and school staff.
• Minimum of 2 years coaching preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complies with MHSA policies and department/district policies.
• Maintains consistent communication with Athletic Director.
• Develops positive self-image with athletics.
• Attends clinics/workshops related to sport.
• Utilizes sound teaching methods to develop skills/techniques.
• Demonstrates public support/loyalty for coaches.
• Demonstrates positive team sportsmanship toward opponents and officials.
• Demonstrates effective management of pre-contest details.
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
