Job summary

Marblehead High School seeks an enthusiastic Head Varsity Girls Tennis Coach to lead the entire girls tennis program. You will work with the athletic department, supervise assistant coaches, and promote values such as teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, commitment, integrity and responsibility.

You will manage fundraising, team dinners and community service initiatives, while ensuring compliance with MIAA rules and Marblehead School District requirements. 15-20 hours per week including weekends.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tennis techniques and coaching strategies.
• Ability to make practice plans and prepare the team to compete.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Ability to mentor and motivate athletes, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities

• Establish and promote a positive, growth-oriented team culture and climate.
• Communicate the team's practice and game schedule with the team and parents or guardians.
• Plan and supervise daily in-season activities for all season interscholastic girls tennis program.
• Supervise and delegate responsibilities to varsity and sub-varsity coaches.
• Compliance with MIAA rules and Marblehead Public Schools policies.
