Job summary

Marblehead Public Schools is seeking a part-time JV2 Girls Volleyball Coach for Marblehead High School. The coach will lead a high school team, plan practices, manage game schedules, and engage in fundraising activities with athletes and families.

Required are volleyball knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to mentor players while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork. Massachusetts coaching requirements and background checks must be completed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of volleyball techniques, strategy, and plays.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Ability to mentor and motivate athletes, providing guidance and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Make practice plans and prepare the team to compete in games.
• Attend all practices and games, including supervising on the bus to and from away games.
• Communicate the team's practice and game schedule with the team and parents or guardians.
• Communicate all fundraising activities with the team and parents or guardians.
• Organize, distribute, and collect uniforms from the team.
