Job summary

Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking an energetic Athletic Coach to develop a competitive varsity program and represent the sport with integrity. The role focuses on teamwork, leadership, character, athletic skills, and positive attitudes among teammates.

You will assist in hiring and evaluating coaches, supervise staff, coordinate training and conditioning, ensure medical clearances, manage equipment, and work with the Athletic Director to support a balanced, safe, and high‑performing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years old.
• One year of coaching experience in the sport assigned.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to enroll and complete.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining high academic standards for student-athletes.
• Assist in hiring and retention of Assistant Coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate Assistant Coaches.
• Coordinate with Athletic Director on insurance and facilities.
