Job summary

Day & Zimmermann in Hawthorne, NV, seeks an experienced Supervisor, UXO to oversee ordnance clearance, UXO assessment, demilitarization, disposal, and destructive testing on site at Hawthorne Army Depot.

This role requires leadership and 8+ years in EOD/UXO, with the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance. You will direct UXO personnel, ensure safety, document procedures, and respond to ammunition incidents to support safe remediation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified EOD/UXO qualification per DDESB TP-18.
• 8+ years EOD/UXO or related experience with supervisory duties.
• Must obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Nevada driver's license and UXO database registration.

Responsibilities

• Supervise UXO reconnaissance, location, recovery, classification, identification, and disposal.
• Oversee disposal methods for propellants and hazardous components.
• Prepare SOPs, status reports, and project documentation.
• Train staff in range safety and demolition procedures.
• Provide UXO safety observer and incident response.
• Maintain compliance with laws and company policies.
