Job summary

Believer Company in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Principal UX Designer to join our design team and help build and ship best-in-class UI/UX for our upcoming title. This role will report directly to the Design Director.

You will own end-to-end UX, drive player journeys, and collaborate closely with engineers in Unreal Engine 5 to ensure UX intent aligns with implementation. We offer a competitive salary, equity, and remote-friendly options.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a UX/UI expert with a track record solving complex design problems.
• Strong systems thinking with deep empathy for players and ability to ship polished UI/UX.
• Experience shipping games and working in Unreal Engine 5 or a comparable engine.

Responsibilities

• Own the game's end-to-end UX: player journeys, friction, gameplay flows, and IA.
• Design and ship high-quality UI/UX at a pace that keeps cross-functional teams moving.
• Own production of UI assets, balancing in-house craft, AI-assisted tooling, and external support.
• Set the craft bar for UX/UI: standards, systems, and style guides; mentor contributors.
• Represent design in cross-functional efforts and help advance the discipline.
