Job summary

Believer is seeking a Principal UX Designer to own end-to-end UX for an upcoming title. You will work hands-on in Unreal Engine 5, architecting player journeys and UI systems while guiding cross‑functional partners. You will set UX standards, mentor teammates, and help push design tools and practices forward.

You have 10+ years of UX/UI expertise, a systems mindset, and a track record shipping games. The role is remote-friendly within a global Believer team and reports to the Design Director.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a UX and UI expert with a track record of owning ambiguous, high‑complexity design problems.
• Sys­tems thinking with deep empathy for a range of players and their needs.
• You have shipped games and understand what shipping actually takes.
• You are fast and comfortable working in Unreal Engine 5 (or a comparable engine).
• You have built or scaled UX/UI standards and enjoy mentoring other designers.

Responsibilities

• Own the game's end‑to‑end UX: player journeys, friction, gameplay flows, and IA guiding players.
• Design and ship high‑quality UI/UX at a pace that aligns with engineering, in Unreal Engine 5.
• Own production of UI assets, balancing in‑house craft, AI tools, and external support.
• Set craft standards, maintain UX/UI systems and style guides, guide others.
• Represent design in cross‑functional efforts, mentor contributors, push toolsets forward.
