Lead UX Designer / Lead Product Designer (Core Shopping Funnel — B2B eCommerce) Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)

6+month W2 Contract (with strong intent to convert to full-time)

Schedule: Flexible hours; onsite collaboration expected ~3-4 days/week

Our client is seeking a UX leader to own and elevate the core shopping funnel experience—supporting a B2B eCommerce customer journey that includes complex product discovery, decision‑making, and checkout behaviors. This role is positioned as a Lead UX contractor with a clear path toward UX Manager conversion. You’ll serve as the UX counterpart to Product leadership, guiding strategy while also setting a high bar for UI craft and execution.

What You’ll Do

• Lead UX strategy and end‑to‑end design for the core shopping funnel (browse, PDP, cart, checkout), with a B2B eCommerce focus.
• Partner with Product leadership to translate product strategy into clear UX direction, priorities, and outcomes.
• Provide design leadership for a team of ~6 designers (initially dotted‑line, with an expectation of formal people management upon conversion).
• Set and maintain exceptional UI quality—strong visual craft, attention to detail, and consistency across the funnel.
• Deliver thoughtful critique and coaching, providing specific feedback that raises the team’s design bar.
• Balance research/validation with speed and pragmatism—help the team move efficiently while protecting the user experience.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and cross‑functional stakeholders in a large, corporate environment.
• Lead through ambiguity and evolving scope as the role grows toward broader team leadership.

What We’re Looking For

• Senior‑level experience leading UX on product teams, ideally within B2B eCommerce and/or high‑traffic funnel experiences.
• Strong product thinking and stakeholder maturity—you can operate as a strategic partner to Product leaders.
• Excellent UI craft and the ability to raise quality through critique, detail orientation, and design standards.
• Experience working in large, complex organizations (in‑house/corporate preferred).
• Comfort coaching and guiding other designers; prior people leadership is a plus.
• AI/tooling fluency is a plus, but not required (craft + leadership are the priority).

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $75 to $80 per hour (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
