Job summary

ARIZONA WATER COMPANY is seeking a Utility Worker III to operate and maintain the water distribution system, install mains, services, hydrants, and fittings, and prepare clear written reports and maps. You will read meters, post ACC/CAGRD records, and communicate with the public and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with vocational training in pipefitting, electrical, or engine crafts.
• Two years' experience in pipefitting or general maintenance with some pipefitting.
• Valid Arizona driver's license and ADEQ Water Distribution certificates (Grade 1 and Grade 2).

Responsibilities

• General operation and maintenance of the water distribution system, including mains, services, hydrants and fittings.
• Record changes on maps and records; perform preventive maintenance on pumps and equipment.
• Install new or replacement service lines and meters; operate in emergencies and planned duties.
