Job summary

HRI, Inc. is looking for a general laborer in State College, PA to perform construction tasks related to utility and pipeline installation. This safety-sensitive, hourly position requires effective communication and safety monitoring skills while working on-site under various conditions.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma (or equivalent) and must complete required training. Experience in heavy and highway construction is preferred, along with the ability to operate small trucks and vans.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge to perform essential functions.
• Must successfully complete PennDOT Flagger Training Course.
• Prefer valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions related to general site/highway construction.
• Ensure proper installation of sewer and water lines.
• Monitor excavations for safety and communicate with the Crew Leader.

Skills

Basic understanding of OSHA regulations

Ability to communicate effectively

Demonstrate relevant math skills
