Job summary

R.H. White Company seeks a Construction Services Division Laborer to assist with layouts, assembly, and installation of piping for underground and above-ground utilities.

Responsibilities include supporting utility construction crews and readiness for emergency response rotations. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year general labor experience, ability to read/write English, OSHA 10 or willingness to obtain, DOT medical card, and a valid US driver license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.
• 1+ years of general labor construction experience.
• Available for emergency response assignments and winter on-call rotation.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Obtain and maintain Gas Operator Qualifications (company training provided).
• OSHA 10 Construction Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
• Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and driver review record.
• Valid unrestricted U.S. Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and promote all Company Safety Policies and the Company Code of Conduct.
• Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work area.
• Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools, and supplies.
• Assist with joining, wrapping, and sealing pipe.
• Dig, spread, and level dirt, gravel, sand, or other materials using hand tools.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete and asphalt using hand tools.
• Performs a variety of machine and non-machine tasks such as removing forms, placing pipe in trench, jack hammering and tapping.
• Work harmoniously, co-operatively, and courteously with others always.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required.
