Job summary

MasTec Utility Services seeks an Overhead Utility Distribution Construction Manager to lead field construction projects in North Carolina. You will manage project scope, schedule crews, monitor budgets, and collaborate with field personnel and customers.

The role requires strong leadership, 5 years in overhead distribution/underground electric work, OSHA 30 certification, and a track record of safe, on-time delivery in a dynamic environment. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; 5 years of overhead distribution construction management experience.
• Experience with overhead distribution and underground electric utility work.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• OSHA 30 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all projects to completion on-time and within budget.
• Schedule crews, identify and delegate the crews, review timelines and supervise work quality.
• Participate in hiring and maintain employment paperwork.
• Promote a safe work environment and enforce safe practices.
• Determine job costs, labor and material needs, ensure on-time deliveries.
• Prepare and interpret drawings, maps, contracts, proposals, and specs.
• Identify and resolve blueprint issues during construction.
• Supervise subcontractors and inspect work.
• Oversee personnel and vehicles/equipment under control.
• Participate in meetings with management, estimating, bidding, and change orders.

5 years of relevant Overhead or Visual

Overhead Distribution and Underground

2 years in a Supervisory role
