Job summary

Jobot is hiring a SUP Project Manager in New York to lead the utilities division on multiple construction projects. You will oversee subsurface utility engineering, coordinate with clients and contractors, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires a civil engineering background, 5+ years of land surveying/SUE experience, and proficiency with Civil3D or Carlson. A PE or PMP is a plus; driving to site visits is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years land surveying experience with proven SUE experience.
• Experience with Land Development Desktop, Civil3D, and/or Carlson Survey.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license for site visits.
• PE or PMP certification would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the utilities team to deliver projects on time, on budget, to high quality.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to plan and execute utility-related work.
• Apply subsurface utility engineering expertise to design, install, and maintain underground utilities.
• Oversee schedules, budgets, and specifications.
• Manage risks and issues related to utilities with timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress against specs.
• Provide updates to senior management on status, issues, achievements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

Strong project management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in project management software

Valid driver’s license

PE or PMP certification would be an asset
