Job summary

Sarasota County’s Public Utilities Department seeks a Civil Engineer to plan and manage water, wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure projects from design through construction. You will analyze system capacity, coordinate with design consultants, and ensure projects meet schedules, budgets, and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (or Master's with related experience), a PE or PG, Florida driver's license, and several years of project experience in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with water/wastewater design experience.
• Four years post-licensure P.E. or P.G. experience, or three years with a Master's.
• PE or PG license and valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Analyze utility capacity and plan infrastructure improvements.
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and agencies.
• Manage projects from design through construction within budgets and schedules.
• Support CIP projects and permit documentation.
