The role focuses on evaluating system capacity, coordinating with design consultants and contractors, and ensuring projects meet schedules, budgets, and regulatory requirements. The candidate will collaborate across county departments and external agencies, drive capital improvement programs, and help shape infrastructure that supports current

Competenze

• Bachelor's (or Master's) in Civil Engineering with direct water, wastewater, and reclaimed water system experience.
• P.E. or P.G. licensure required or pursued with applicable experience.
• Strong project management and coordination skills with regulatory familiarity.

Mansioni

• Analyze existing utility capacity and plan improvements to support growth and operations.
• Manage utility oversizing agreements and reimbursement processes.
• Coordinate interlocal agreements between Sarasota County and other entities.
• Provide technical support for CIP projects and development reviews.
• Plan and implement water, wastewater, and reclaimed water system upgrades.
• Oversee design consultants and contractors to meet schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with FDOT, FDEP, and other agencies on utility projects.
• Develop project scopes and permit documentation with operations teams.
