Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation in Las Vegas is seeking an usher to assist guests at entertainment events, collect tickets, distribute programs and help guests find seats. You will train and guide ushers for successful event performance and ensure smooth guest experiences across our venues.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service and communication skills, can stand/walk for long periods (stairs included), lift up to 25 pounds, read event tickets, assist guests in wheelchairs, and respond quickly

Qualifications

  • Six months of experience as an usher preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including stairs.
  • Ability to bend and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to quickly read and interpret information on event tickets.
  • Ability to assist guests in wheelchairs and respond to emergencies.
  • Must obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.

Job Description

Responsible for assisting guests at entertainment events by collecting
admission tickets/passes, distributing programs, assisting in finding seats,
answering questions about the facility and its offerings. Assist in training and
guiding Ushers in the successful performance of their jobs

  • Provide general information about the property and the various venues.
  • Ensure that guests are properly seated and late seating policies are followed.
  • Assist with guest seating and ticketing situations.

  • Six (6) months of experience as an usher in a comparable venue preferred.
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand and walk (including stairs) for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to quickly read and interpret information printed on event tickets.
  • Must be able to assist guests in wheelchairs.Must be alert at all times and be able to think and act quickly and appropriately in the event of an emergency.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses
