Job summary

Plantible is building next-gen commercial production facilities for Lemna biomass. The Upstream Project Engineer will own engineering and field execution—from greenhouse structures to water delivery and harvest systems—sitting between Plantible's experts and external vendors.

Role covers FEL/FEED/design reviews, equipment scopes, and on-site construction leadership to ensure safe, repeatable, scalable facilities aligned with Plantible standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• 5–10+ years in industrial, agricultural, or capital projects.
• Experience with greenhouse/construction in controlled environments.
• Ability to read and challenge layouts, drawings, and specs.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into clear scopes for external engineering partners and vendors.
• Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and utilities interfaces.
• Develop technical scopes and bid packages for equipment and systems.
• Maintain onsite presence during construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Ensure interfaces are owned and drive issues to resolution.
