Job summary

CBRE Union Lead Engineer position overseeing daily operations and maintenance of building systems. You will guide a team, manage projects, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

The role sits within Engineering and Technical Services, focusing on preventive maintenance, repairs, and client satisfaction across multi-discipline teams. Strong leadership and coaching are essential for success.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Combination of experience and education acceptable in lieu of a diploma.
Proficiency in coaching others and sharing knowledge within the function.

Responsibilities

Oversee and inspect the work performed by engineering staff to ensure complete, functional client spaces.
Review monthly service request summaries and address recurring operational issues.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life.
Inspect building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for design compatibility and environment.
Estimate materials and orders for repairs and maintain inventories.
Assist team with complex repairs, emergencies, and preventive maintenance.
Lead by example and develop cross-disciplinary knowledge across the function.
