Job summary

National OnDemand, Inc. is seeking a Construction Supervisor to lead underground/utility CATV projects across the United States. You will plan, coordinate crews, ensure safety, track progress, and maintain quality per plans and specifications.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of supervisory experience in construction tech, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to travel up to 50% with up to 21 days away from home. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience and knowledge of all aspects of Underground/Utility CATV construction.
• Combination of technical training and/or experience.
• Basic or working knowledge of the NESC.
• Ability to use general math skills for calculations.
• Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience in similar construction tech.
• Understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
• Knowledge of outside plant safety procedures.
• Ability to direct crews and communicate with teammates and customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to think analytically and solve problems.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends, if necessary.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass drug, background, DOT & MVR screenings.
• Travel within the United States up to 50% and stay away up to 21 days.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lay-out work.
• Ensure project specific needs are acquired prior to work starting.
• White-line underground placement path.
• Call in and coordinate utility locates.
• Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems and obstacles to production.
• Inspect work for compliance with plans and specs; point out deficiencies.
• Track and review quantities completed on the project.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective action.
• Perform task planning to safely and efficiently carry out work.
• Monitor quality of work and ensure procedures follow plans.
• Prepare and monitor progress relative to production schedule.
• Monitor productivity and discuss with crew.
• Manage crews to maintain productivity.
• Ensure equipment is operated and maintained correctly.
• Assist manager with subcontractor and internal production billing.
• Perform other duties as requested by manager.
