University Radiology is seeking a Lead Ultrasound Vascular Technologist for our Teaneck, NJ Imaging office. Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with rotating Saturdays; certification in Breast, Abdomen, OB/GYN and RVT is required.

Candidates should have 5 years of experience as a registered technologist, plus excellent communication, leadership, and patient-care skills. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies the role.

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient safety including prescreening and aseptic technique.

• Obtains ACR certification for modalities.
• Participates in quality assurance and documentation.
• Assists with equipment maintenance and downtime notices.

University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Responsibilities

University Radiology is seeking a Lead Ultrasound Vascular Technologist for our Teaneck, NJ Imaging office, Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, with rotating Saturdays.

Our Lead Ultrasound Vascular Technologists are required to be certified in Breast, Abdomen, OB/GYN and RVT. Expertise in all types of ultrasound cases is also required.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills all requirements listed under Staff Technologist
• Liaison between radiologists and clinical staff.
• Assists the Scheduling Department overseeing room schedules in the departments.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Responsible for ensuring effective communication with vendors and service personnel.
• Responsible for patient safety including prescreening for contraindications and aseptic injection.
• Keeps up to date with established departmental policies and procedures including informing the staff.
• Obtains ACR certification for modalities.
• Participates in quality assurance activities completing all required documentation for the continuous improvement of patient care.
• Assists with the maintenance of supplies and equipment. Notifies team members regarding equipment downtime.
• Proficient in all software systems including image and report management or reproduction.
• Maintains technical competency through continued education.
• Work schedule may change requiring evening or weekend shift based on staffing, volume and unexpected issues.
• Provides feedback to management and may be required to complete employee performance evaluations.
• Performs additional duties as required.
