University Radiology Group is seeking a Lead Ultrasound Vascular Technologist for our Teaneck, NJ Imaging office. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with rotating Saturdays.

Candidates must be certified in Breast, Abdomen, OB/GYN and RVT and have expertise in all ultrasound modalities. The role involves team liaison, scheduling oversight, and ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Graduate of accredited program.
• Must have appropriate modality certification and current CPR
• Requires 5 years' experience as a registered technologist.
• Must have excellent customer service and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills all requirements listed under Staff Technologist.
• Liaison between radiologists and clinical staff.
• Oversees room schedules in the departments.
• Provides exceptional customer service.
• Ensures effective communication with vendors and service personnel.
• Ensures patient safety including prescreening for contraindications and aseptic injection.
• Keeps up to date with departmental policies and informs staff.
• Obtains ACR certification for modalities.
• Participates in quality assurance activities and documentation for patient care.
• Maintains supplies and equipment; notifies team of downtime.
• Proficient in image and report management software systems.
• Maintains technical competency through continued education.
• Work schedule may require evenings or weekends.
• Provides feedback to management and may complete staff evaluations.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Overview

University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Responsibilities

University Radiology is seeking a Lead Ultrasound Vascular Technologist for our Teaneck, NJ Imaging office, Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, with rotating Saturdays.

Our Lead Ultrasound Vascular Technologists are required to be certified in Breast, Abdomen, OB/GYN and RVT. Expertise in all types of ultrasound cases is also required.

• Provides feedback to management and may be required to complete employee performance evaluations.
