Job summary

University Radiology Group in Edison, NJ is seeking a Full Time Ultrasound Vascular Technologist to join our imaging team. You will provide exceptional patient care, operate ultrasound machinery, and produce diagnostic images while floating across multiple offices in central NJ.

Candidates must be certified in RVT and at least one of Abdomen, Breast, or OB/GYN. A competitive pay starting at $42/hr and a comprehensive benefits package are available as you join a team dedicated to excellent patient outcomes.

In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Responsibilities

University Radiology is looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Full TimeUltrasound Vascular Technologistto join our dynamic imaging team. In this position, you will play a critical role in patient care and will float to ourCentral, NJ Imaging Offices, located in Edison, Maplewood, Warren, Bridgewater, & Bedminster.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Patient Care:Preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort.
• Scanning Procedures:Applying gel and using a transducer (probe) to capture high-quality diagnostic images of organs, tissues, and blood vessels.
• Equipment Management:Operating, adjusting, and maintaining ultrasound machinery.
• Analysis and Reporting:Evaluating images in real-time, identifying abnormalities, and providing preliminary reports to physicians.
• Documentation:Updating patient records and managing digital imaging files.

Monday - Friday, rotating Saturdays; Various shifts covering multiple offices in our central region

*this position qualifies for float differential pay

In addition to being RVT certified, our Ultrasound Vascular Techs are also required to be certified in Abdomen, Breast, and OB/GYN. Ultrasound Vascular Techs must be certified in RVT and at least one of these areas to qualify. URG will reimburse for educational materials and exams for additional certifications, as well as a bonus once obtained.

*May be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and must be able to adhere to all department and facility safety protocols.

Pay Range:

From $42/hr

The rate provided is based on industry standards for candidates with 0 – 5 years of experience. Salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, education and operational needs
