Job summary

GRVTY is seeking an experienced UI Front End Software Engineer to lead a team of UI developers in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role involves designing front-end architecture, translating UX/UI designs into accessible interfaces, and mentoring junior developers in an agile setting.

Responsibilities span collaborating with backend engineers, contributing to full-stack efforts, and enforcing coding standards while ensuring compliance with accessibility guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• 12 years of SWE experience in programs/contracts of similar scope
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline; 4 years additional SWE experience may substitute for degree
• 7 years of experience in Software Database and Repository Interface Development
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a development team
• Experience with state management, component-based architecture, and responsive design
• Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GovCloud)
• Experience collaborating with UX/UI and systems engineers to ensure accessible interfaces
• Experience with Linux/Ubuntu environments

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of UI/front-end developers with technical guidance and code reviews
• Architect and implement scalable front-end solutions using modern frameworks
• Translate prototypes and design specs into functional, responsive interfaces
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design APIs and ensure efficient data flow
• Contribute to full-stack efforts including backend services and deployment pipelines
• Establish and enforce front-end coding standards and component reuse
• Partner with UX/UI and systems engineers to preserve design intent
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and architectural decisions
• Ensure accessibility compliance (e.g., Section 508, WCAG) throughout development
