Job summary

VTG Defense is seeking a Front-End Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality UI/UX software. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions and deliver secure, performant applications in Chantilly or Herndon, VA.

The role requires hands-on development across Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby, with strong OO design and familiarity with modern frameworks. Collaboration and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, SWE, or related field.
• Proven hands-on software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
• Strong OO design, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with Spring, .NET, React, Angular, Django.
• Web technologies: HTML and CSS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback.
• Troubleshoot issues and identify root causes.
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance of software applications.
• Participate in agile sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
