Job summary

GRVTY is seeking an experienced UI Front End Software Engineer to lead a team of UI developers and shape front-end architecture for CODEX in Annapolis Junction, MD.

The role emphasizes translating UX/UI designs into accessible, production-ready interfaces while mentoring junior developers and collaborating with system engineers to optimize performance and data flow across front-end and back-end systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline; 4 years additional SWE experience may substitute for a degree.
• 12 years of SWE experience in similar scope and complexity.
• 7 years of experience in software database and repository interface development.
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (React/Angular/Vue) and standard web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS).
• Full-stack experience including backend development (Node.js/Python/Java; RESTful/GraphQL).
• Experience with state management, component-based architecture, and responsive design.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GovCloud).
• Collaborate with UX/UI and systems engineers to implement accessible interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of UI/front-end developers with technical guidance and reviews.
• Architect and implement scalable front-end solutions using modern frameworks.
• Translate prototypes and designs into functional, responsive interfaces.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs for data flow.
• Participate in full-stack development including backend services and deployment pipelines.
• Establish and enforce front-end coding standards across the team.
• Coordinate with UX/UI and systems engineers to preserve design intent.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and cross-browser issues.
