Job summary

SafeSky Systems USA, a leading UAS manufacturer, seeks a Senior/Lead Systems Engineer to own end-to-end systems engineering across product lines. You will drive requirements, architecture, integration, and V&V for fielded platforms and new development efforts, while acting as a technical lead on DoD-facing programs.

The ideal candidate has hands-on UAS systems engineering experience and direct exposure to DoD acquisition processes, requirements flow-down, and program execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of systems engineering experience on UAS/defense platforms.
• Direct DoD program experience, familiar with acquisition processes and program offices.
• Experience with systems integration and flight test for unmanned aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements definition, architecture, interface control, integration, test, and verification across the product lifecycle.
• Translate government and customer requirements into system and subsystem specifications.
• Own requirements traceability and ensure NDAA/Blue UAS compliance.
• Support integration and flight test campaigns for fixed-wing and multi-rotor UAS, including payloads and subsystems.
• Serve as technical lead on DoD programs and government engagements.
• Develop and maintain system-level documentation (ICDs, test plans, verification matrices).
• Collaborate with engineering, BD, and program management to align technical solutions with contracts.
• Mentor junior engineers and help scale systems engineering processes.
• Represent SafeSky Systems USA in customer and government reviews.
