Job summary

Elliott Group in Houston seeks a Shop Engineer to set repair methods for rotating equipment and to ensure technical integrity of work performed in the Repair Shop. The role serves as a technical liaison for shop, field service, and field sales for customer repair projects and shop modernization initiatives.

The candidate will engineer repair solutions, oversee drafting and 3D modeling, and ensure compliance with QMS and industry standards, including welding, coating, and assembly processes.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years rotors, compressors and turbine repair/overhaul experience.

Responsibilities

• Set methods and criteria for execution of repair work in the shop.
• Provide technical assistance to shop floor regarding tooling and machining practices.
• Review non-conformances and disposition.
• *Develop and implement continuous improvement in operations and safety culture.*
• Assist in customer reports and repair proposals.
