Job summary

EthosEnergy in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Engineer to oversee orders from intake to reporting for the Gas Turbine Product Line, with emphasis on rotor lifetime extensions and rotor/diaphragm assessment. You will mentor junior engineers and guide technical analysis.

Responsibilities include creating shop instructions, reviewing drawings, supporting ERP-based cost workbooks, and leading cross-functional reviews to implement improvements in production schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree preferred; years of experience may compensate.
• 8+ years direct turbomachinery repair experience preferred.
• 5-8 years in a manufacturing or repair shop environment required.
• Experience with Rotor Lifetime Extension (RLE) and metallurgical analysis required.

Responsibilities

• Create, issue, and maintain shop work instructions.
• Draft, review, and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Troubleshoot project issues with strong technical expertise.
• Support engineering calculations, material specs, and repairs.
• Review job releases to define scope and requirements.
• Prepare inspection packages for incoming equipment.
• Verify drawings, specs, and work instructions meet standards.
• Maintain cost workbooks including labor, materials, and subcontracted services.
• Develop repair scopes and cost estimates.
• Prepare technical reports on assessments and risks.
• Support customer discussions with overall equipment assessments.
• Lead cross-functional meetings and implement ERP/workbook updates.
• Initiate procurement of parts and vendor services.
• Prepare RFQ estimates for commercial teams.
