Job summary

Cowen Rodriguez Peacock seeks an experienced attorney to join a focused trucking litigation docket in San Antonio. You will own cases, manage discovery, take depositions, participate in motion practice, and help prepare for trials, with mentorship from Malorie.

Candidates should have 5–10 years of personal injury litigation (plaintiff or defense), strong writing and courtroom instincts, and a desire to grow with a plaintiff-side trucking practice.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of personal injury litigation experience (plaintiff or defense).
• Comfortable running own cases with real autonomy.
• Strong writing and courtroom instincts.
• Genuinely interested in trucking litigation.
• Wants to grow with a firm, not just clock in.

Responsibilities

• Work on a manageable docket of complex trucking litigation from intake through pretrial.
• Take an active role in discovery and independently handle significant issues.
• Take and defend depositions, including expert and corporate representative depositions.
• Assist with motion practice and argue motions in court.
• Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial preparation.
• Serve as second or third chair on trials with opportunity to grow into first-chair responsibilities.
• Work directly with Malorie on strategy for high-value matters.
• Build relationships with clients, experts, and co-counsel.
• Grow into leading a docket of significant cases over time.
