Penske is seeking an experienced Technician at our Santa Maria location to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a varied fleet. You will lead at your site, mentor peers, and handle major and minor repairs with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• Specialized training in diagnosis and troubleshooting of engines, transmissions and differentials.
• OEM training courses and certifications are preferred.
• Ability to use a range of shop tools safely and effectively.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailers with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
• Replace assemblies and components as needed (e.g., turbochargers, fuel systems).
• Keep work area clean and safe; log and document repairs using Penske systems.
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training and certifications.
• Take on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
