Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson in Newberry, MI, to manage daily crew operations, plan work, and ensure safety and efficiency on job sites. The role involves coordinating with management on hiring needs, setting deadlines, and enforcing safety protocols across the crew.

The Foreperson will troubleshoot routine site issues, mentor employees, and maintain records while upholding high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Must be capable of adjusting to field requirements and taking independent action without close supervision.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew.
• Conducts field training/retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains accurate records, timesheets, and reports of crew performance.
• Promotes good customer relations and coordinates with customers as needed.
