Qualifications

  • Active license in good standing with the State Bar of Texas, Arizona, Colorado, or New Mexico.
  • Minimum 1 year of litigation experience, preference for personal injury background.
  • Demonstrated jury trial experience.

Job Overview:
A well-regarded law firm based in El Paso, TX, is currently seeking a high-performing Lead Trial Attorney with a strong background in personal injury litigation. This role offers a unique chance to lead high-stakes cases with a focused docket, enabling close client engagement and strategic litigation. Candidates with the drive to excel, an appetite for courtroom advocacy, and the resilience to manage complex cases from intake to verdict will thrive in this environment. The hiring is being conducted exclusively through a legal recruitment firm.

Duties:

Manage personal injury cases from initial consultation through trial and final resolution

Develop and implement case strategies informed by the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence

Draft and respond to legal motions and discovery

Conduct and defend depositions

Represent clients in court, including jury trials

Provide attentive, client-centered communication throughout the case lifecycle

Collaborate with support teams to ensure the smooth progression of legal work

Adapt firm best practices while also contributing innovative approaches to litigation

Requirements:

Active license in good standing with the State Bar of Texas, Arizona, Colorado, or New Mexico

Minimum 1 year of litigation experience, with preference for personal injury background (plaintiff or defense side)

Demonstrated jury trial experience

Strong command of motion practice and legal procedure

Proven ability to manage client relationships professionally and empathetically

Experience with deposition practice

Willingness to receive and apply feedback constructively

Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

State Bar admission (TX, AZ, CO, or NM) in good standing
