Heartwood Tree Care in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled tree climber to perform advanced pruning, removals, and complex rigging. You will operate heavy equipment and drive CDL-equipped vehicles while ensuring safety on busy sites.

Ideal candidates bring SRT/DRT experience, a strong rigging background, and the ability to lead a crew in the field. Heartwood Tree Care values safety, training, and long-term care of trees for residential and commercial clients.

Qualifications

• Climber experience with SRT/DRT and advanced rigging.
• ISA Certified Arborist preferred.
• CDL Class B or A strongly preferred.
• Ability to lead a crew and make field decisions.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced tree climbing, pruning, and removals.
• Handle complex rigging and technical removals.
• Operate chainsaws, chippers, bucket trucks, and heavy equipment.
• Drive company trucks, CDL required vehicles included.
• Watch for hazards and keep the crew working safe.
• Communicate clearly with ground crew throughout the job.
• Make sure job sites are cleaned up and left right.
