Job summary

SavATree Sacramento is seeking a Tree Climber to join the General Tree Care Team. You will perform pruning, removals, and cabling to maintain client landscapes, using climbing ropes, saddles, and ladders.

You will operate chainsaws and aerial lifts, follow ANSI pruning standards and safety guidelines, and contribute to a safety-focused culture.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, willingness to work outdoors, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for outdoor work and environmental stewardship.
• Proficient in pruning techniques for large shade trees and ornamentals.
• Able to follow ANSI pruning standards and maintain safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality tree care services, including pruning, removals, and cabling.
• Climb trees safely using ropes, saddles, and ladders; operate equipment responsibly.
• Assist in aerial rescues and ensure safety checks before, during, and after jobs.
• Maintain communication with team members and clients; contribute to safety-focused culture.
