Job summary

SavATree LLC is seeking a Tree Climber to join our General Tree Care Team. You will perform pruning, removals, and cabling, climbing with ropes and ladders, and operating bucket trucks to care for client landscapes.

The role emphasizes safety, proper pruning techniques, and professionalism, with opportunities for leadership through Crew Lead if shown; a strong work ethic is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver’s license (CDL a plus)
• Authorization to work legally in the U.S.
• Passion for outdoor work and environmental stewardship

Responsibilities

• Perform pruning, removals, and cabling for trees and shrubs
• Climb trees safely using ropes, saddle, and ladders
• Operate chainsaws, aerial lifts (bucket trucks), and other equipment
• Apply ANSI A300 Pruning Standards and ANSI Z safety practices
• Ensure proper pruning cuts to preserve tree health and structure
• Assist in removals using ropes or spikes for safe takedowns
• Identify hazards and perform safety checks before, during, and after each job
• Perform aerial rescues if necessary in high-risk situations
• Maintain clear communication with team members and clients
• Take ownership of your role and contribute to a safety-focused culture
