Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Houston, TX, seeks a seasoned Mechanical/Electrical Project Engineer for a full-time, traveling assignment supporting Advanced Technology projects, including Data Centers and related markets. You will lead the project team, coordinate with subcontractors, owners, and consultants to keep installations on schedule and within budget.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of four years of relevant engineering experience.
Technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems supporting data center projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead a high performing team.
Proficiency with computer applications and project management tools.

Responsibilities

Lead the project team, subcontractors, and owner's representatives to align systems installation with schedule.
Prepare and manage contract item lists; ensure ROJ dates align with project schedule.
Participate in schedule update meetings; provide accurate project status.
Evaluate and manage RFI processing and responses.
Oversee budget, review and negotiate change orders with subcontractors.
Co-lead MEP coordination with the VDC engineer ensuring design and operations compliance.
Lead turnover, startup, testing, and closeout activities with the team.
Conduct regular field walkthroughs to ensure compliance with contract docs and submittals.
