Job summary

University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore seeks an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Multitrauma/Neurotrauma ICU. The APP will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage critically ill patients under physician supervision in a collaborative, academic setting.

Qualified candidates hold ACNP/PA graduate degrees, Maryland APRN/PA licensure, and national certification, with BLS/ACLS and DEA/CDS eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree from ACNP/PA program.
• Maryland licensure as APRN or PA and national certification.
• DEA and CDS eligibility; BLS/ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients in a Multitrauma/Neurotrauma ICU.
• Prescribe medications and perform invasive bedside procedures as credentialed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and therapists on care plans.
• Participate in rounds, admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
• Contribute to quality improvement and clinical pathway development.
• Provide education and mentorship to staff, residents, and students.
