Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with six years of equipment operation experience.
• Experience supervising and training a work crew.
• Experience with shoulder/ditch maintenance, pipe installation, or asphalt patching preferred.
• Snow and ice removal experience is beneficial.
• CDL requirements: possession or within 360 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead a highway maintenance crew and promote a safe work environment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and construction on state highways.
• Operate heavy equipment (bulldozer, excavator, backhoe, etc.).
• Emergency response for traffic incidents and weather events.
• Transport inmates for work detail with inmate card per policy.
