Michael Baker International is expanding its Transportation Practice in Alaska and seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of major transportation projects. You will guide teams across roadway, bridge, rail, and multimodal work, while nurturing client relationships.

The role emphasizes mentoring staff, delivering high-quality design solutions, and contributing to business development and regional growth in Alaska.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Alaska or ability to obtain via comity.
• 10+ years of transportation and civil engineering design experience.
• Proven experience managing transportation infrastructure projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• 5+ years of supervising, mentoring, and developing engineering staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of transportation projects from planning through bid-ready docs and construction support.
• Serve as a technical lead for transportation design projects and guide engineering decisions.
• Supervise and mentor multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Support client relationships and drive strategic pursuits and proposals across Alaska.
• Partner with leadership to expand transportation presence and align with long-term objectives.
