Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Transportation Project Engineer for our Denver, Colorado office to support strategic growth in the transportation market.

The successful candidate will lead design and management of transportation projects for public sector clients, with strong emphasis on Civil 3D/MicroStation, project coordination, and client communication. Colorado PE license or ability to obtain within one year is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• Colorado PE license or ability to obtain within one year.
• 5+ years of experience in transportation engineering.
• Experience with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation InRoads.
• Ability to work in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and review staff.
• Knowledge of CDOT Design Manuals and Specifications.
• Experience with ProjectWise, PMWeb, and eConstruction tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and design of state and local transportation infrastructure including roadway design, intersections, interchanges, utilities, drainage, and stormwater management.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and manage client relationships throughout projects.
• Prepare contract documents and support procurement processes.
• Utilize Civil 3D, InRoads, and MicroStation in design tasks.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth initiative.
