Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Chicago seeks a Lead Transplant Coordinator for Solid Organ Transplantation. This role leads clinical, social, and financial coordination for transplant patients and oversees regulatory and administrative functions.

You will manage staffing, collaborate with Transplant Resource Coordinators, ensure HIPAA and UNOS reporting compliance, and contribute to program leadership and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois (IDFPR).
• BSN degree required.
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience; at least 1 year in organ transplant.
• CPR BLS certification (AHA).
• Demonstrated leadership and computer skills.
• Knowledge of UNOS, CMS regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing and administrative coverage as assigned.
• Proactively identify patient and organizational needs case-by-case.
• Collaborate with Transplant Resource Coordinators for guidance.
• Prepare and maintain staff schedules including call schedule.
• Participate in performance management and evaluations.
• Provide direct nursing care to assigned transplant patients.
