Job summary

Exo is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Transmission Structures team in the United States. You will lead complex design and analysis, mentor staff, and ensure code-compliant, cost-efficient designs for power delivery projects.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, architects, and clients to deliver safe, constructible structures and robust foundation designs. Exo values quality, growth, and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in software described in Key Competencies.
• PE Licensed (Civil or Structural).
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
• Knowledge of Project Management Principles.
• 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Collaboration within team environments.
• Ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Proven experience mentoring and training less experienced staff.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Engineering Software (e.g. PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE, FAD Tools, AutoDesk, Inventor, AutoCAD, and others).

Responsibilities

• Perform complex design and analysis independently.
• Conduct engineering and design using engineering software and internal tools.
• Design routine projects.
• Work within a team and independently.
• Provide input to project planning efforts.
• Communicate effectively with team members to achieve project objectives.
• Participate in project meetings.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff.
• Participate in business development and proposal development.
• Participate within the industry.
• Review design work produced by other project participants following quality procedures.
• Ensure designs meet client standards, safety, design code, constructability, and cost-efficiency requirements.
