Job summary

Exo is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer for Transmission Structures in the US. You’ll design and review steel lattice towers and related components, leading projects from concept through construction while mentoring junior staff.

Ideal candidates have a PE license, 15+ years of experience, and strong communication skills; you’ll work with clients and teams to deliver safe, efficient power-delivery solutions. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• PE Licensed (Civil or Structural)
• 15+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
• Proficiency in engineering software listed in Key Competencies
• Knowledge of codes and standards

Responsibilities

• Perform complex design and analysis independently.
• Conduct engineering and design using engineering software and internal tools.
• Design routine projects.
• Work within a team and independently.
• Provide input to project planning efforts.
• Communicate effectively with team members to achieve project objectives.
• Participate in project meetings.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff.
• Participate in business development and proposal development.
• Participate within the industry.
• Review design work produced by other project participants following quality procedures.
• Ensure designs meet client standards, safety, design code, constructability, and cost-efficiency requirements.
