Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. seeks a Supervisor in Transmission Project Management to administer and oversee Project Managers across Maryland and West Virginia.

You will supervise project management activities, drive safety and environmental compliance, and lead staff toward department goals with a focus on timely schedules and cost controls. You will collaborate with Portfolio Management, Supply Chain, and Construction Management to ensure resources meet project demands, and you will report to the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management or related field; multi-disciplinary background accepted.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in project organization with background in engineering, finance, project management, construction, or project controls.
• Knowledge of project management concepts and processes.
• Experience with Primavera or MS Project is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a staff of Project Managers (internal and external) and provide leadership to meet department goals.
• Direct daily activities of project managers and technical personnel.
• Develop staff and contribute to department direction and goals.
• Manage adherence to policies including Manual of Operations and Construction Standards.
• Lead project status meetings with regional and corporate leadership.
• Develop and maintain 5-year work plan with Portfolio Management.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for external resources and with Construction Management for oversight resources.
• Monitor risks and financials, and guide change requests as needed.
• Identify opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
• Travel as required and support storm process when needed.
