Job summary

AEP Service Corporation in Texas seeks an experienced Lineman to install, maintain, and repair transmission and distribution facilities. You will lead crews, ensure safety, and perform live-switching and fault-finding on overhead and underground lines.

Residency within 30 miles of the Marshall Service Center is required. Candidates must have minimum two years as Lineman A or equivalent and hold a valid Class A CDL. Training and safety standards are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years satisfactory work experience as a Lineman A or the equivalent.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Must have a good working knowledge of safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, operate and inspect transmission and distribution facilities on overhead and underground lines.
• Direct crew on a routine basis and exercise leadership and good judgement.
• Perform switching operations and fault finding on energized lines when required.
