The University of Miami (Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center) seeks a Manager of Translational Informatics Platform Architecture to lead software engineering, DevSecOps, and cloud infrastructure efforts for PHI handling clinical data. The role balances strategic direction with hands-on engineering leadership.

Responsibilities include governance of CI/CD, security controls, and platform interoperability across enterprise systems, while ensuring regulatory compliance and scalable data platforms

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Operational management, organizational development, financial oversight, team leadership, technical proficiency, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, DevSecOps engineers, and platform engineers.
• Establishes hiring standards, conducts performance evaluations, and provides technical mentorship.
• Translates clinical research requirements into technical roadmaps and engineering solutions.
• Oversees Azure cloud infrastructure, AKS, security controls, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Directs security controls, PHI compliance, and audit readiness activities.
• Ensures governance, interoperability, and data integration across platforms.
