Job summary

Three Rivers Community Action seeks a Lead Transit Operator to drive assigned routes and support other drivers to maintain uninterrupted service. The role involves assisting leadership with reporting, scheduling, and route training while coordinating route timing and vehicle maintenance.

The position requires CDL driving experience, a valid license for at least 3 years, and 1–2 years of supervisory work. Travel across Rice and Goodhue counties is expected, with attractive benefits and full-time

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-years CDL driving experience.
• Current, valid driver's license for at least three years.
• Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to pass required background study and drug testing.
• Ability to pass Fitness-for-Duty exams and medical requirements.
• Ability to safely operate large transit vehicles and read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned routes and back up other drivers to ensure continuous service.
• Assist leadership with reporting, scheduling, driver observations and route training.
• Help with timing, route planning, and coordination of vehicle maintenance.
• Conduct regular vehicle and facility inspections to ensure safety and readiness.
• Resolve dispatch issues to maintain smooth transit operations.
