Job summary

Challenge Mfg. Company, LLC is seeking a Lead Training Specialist to design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs across the organization in a manufacturing environment.

You will lead training initiatives, transfer knowledge effectively, and continuously improve training methodologies to support operational excellence. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of instructional design, delivery, and program management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment of training needs across various departments and levels within Challenge Mfg. Company, LLC.
  • Design and develop engaging curricula, materials, and modules, including e-learning courses, workshops, and hands-on practical sessions.
  • Deliver training programs to employees using a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and guide junior training specialists or team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing training environment.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance of training materials.
  • Manage training schedules, resources, and logistics, ensuring efficient delivery of programs.
  • Stay current with industry best practices in adult learning, instructional design, and training technologies.
  • Maintain accurate training records and prepare reports on training activities and outcomes.
  • Support the integration of new technologies and processes through effective training and change management initiatives.

Job Summary:**

The Lead Training Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs for Challenge Mfg. Company, LLC. This role involves leading training initiatives, ensuring the effective transfer of knowledge and skills to employees, and continuously improving training methodologies to support organizational goals and operational excellence.

Job Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, training delivery, and program management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience leading training initiatives and/or teams.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Proficiency in developing e-learning content using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively engage and motivate diverse groups of learners.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Certifications in training and development (e.g., CPLP, ATD) are a plus.
