Job summary

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional Public Service Administrator to oversee the Child Protection Training Academy (Simulations) Staff Development training. Qualifications

• Requires a master's degree in social work or a related human services field.
• Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience.
• Preferred: three years of professional experience supervising or conducting child protection services/investigations.
• Preferred: three years of professional experience applying adult learning theories to training simulations for a public or business organization.
• Preferred: three years of professional experience managing or conducting training programs for adult learning in a public or business organization.
• Preferred: three years of professional experience writing content for curricula and drafting standard operating procedures for a public or business organization.
• Preferred: three years of professional experience supervising professional staff in a public or business organization.
• Preferred: three years of professional experience serving as a liaison for a public or business organization.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Child Protection Training Academy (Simulations) Staff Development Training Administrator.
• Develops and implements statewide policies and procedures for all Simulations staff development and training programs.
• Serves as full line supervisor of subordinate staff.
• Develops and implements operational and program plans and budgets statewide consistent with an assessment of ongoing Child Protection Training Academy (Simulations) training needs.
• Defines and directs the development of statewide planning for Child Protection Training Academy (Simulations) training programs to meet the needs of specific departmental divisions and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
